The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille West OC

Unfortunately, our experience at The Green Turtle was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time.

We waited over 45 minutes for our appetizers and then over an hour and a half for our entrees. After all that time, another server finally came to our table to ask how we wanted our tuna cooked, which made it clear that our meal hadn't even been started despite the lengthy wait. At that point, with two young children who were hungry and frustrated, we politely asked for our check and decided not to wait any longer.

What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of communication throughout the entire process. We were never given updates or realistic expectations regarding the delay. To add to the frustration, when we initially ordered Coke, no one mentioned they served Pepsi products. Later, when we requested refills, the server seemed annoyed and told us that Pepsi was basically the same thing. While that's a minor issue compared to the wait times, it reflected the overall level of customer service we experienced.

We also couldn't help but notice that several tables around us, who were seated after we arrived, received their food well before we did. We sincerely hope there was a reasonable explanation for this, but from our perspective it left us feeling overlooked.

To their credit, management did offer to discount our bill, which we appreciated. However, after spending nearly two hours waiting and ultimately leaving without receiving our meals, the gesture wasn't enough to make up for the experience.

We rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was simply unacceptable. If you're dining with children or have limited time, I would strongly recommend considering other options.

Great bar, great vibe. Awesome service! Their wings are top-notch. The honey with Old Bay are outstanding. Nice crispy wings, great sauces. The rockfish bites and the regular fish and chips are delicious. Good selection of beers and cocktails.

Visited Ocean City for birthday week. Decided to go to Green Turtle for the big day!! Where has this location been all my life!? The wings were big and taste amazing. The crab dip was delicious!! Can’t say that I’ve ever actually received a full cup of crab dip before at a Green Turtle, but I did this time!! Service was welcoming as soon as I entered. Sat at the bar and had the best “Italian Surfer” drink. Similar to a Mai Tai but with amaretto sour and other ingredients; the flavor was phenomenal. Recommended by the bartender. I love Greene Turtle and this location really set the bar. Will definitely stop in again when I visit Ocean City.
